to acquaint you, for the information of
Sir Edward Bulwer Lytton, that frequent
applications have been made

Department by the relatives of two deceased
seamen named William Upton Cate
of
the ship "Chusan" and Andrew Hope
late of the ship "Rajah" for the balance of
Wages due to
the Estates
of
the
deceased, which were paid to the Harbour
Master at Hong Kong in August 1858,
